Drawings that, from semplicity and immediacy, take their expressive strenght which often get the mind closer to the humble vision of a poetic reality.
It was born as a prehistoric art activity - indeed, many examples of it, that go back to the stone age, were found - but it was fully developed in the Etruscan age and in the Aegean-Mycenaean art. A graffiti is not painting nor sculpture, but it is actually a summary between the two activities. On a wall or a panel, two or three layers of fresh plaster are stratified; they are coloured with some oxides which will be “scratched” by specific tools, in order to build some volumes that look like bas relief, since underlying layers appear. It is an art expression suitable for simple shapes that do not need many details but to create a strong emotional effect.
